Japanese Festival at Guam

Guam is very close to Japan geographically and this proximity reflects in the tourism statistics of Guam ever year. Japanese tourists make up a big chunk of the tourist arrivals ever year in Guam. Also, to cater to the Japanese tourists, cultural extravaganza and Japanese cuisine have taken prominent place in Guam’s socio-cultural set up. One such festival celebrating the Japanese spirit is The annual Japan Autumn Festival, also known as “Akimatsuri” in Japanese.

This festival has evolved to become one of Guam’s most reputable cultural gathering, where visitors of all ages are presented with traditional Japanese Festival events including entertainment from Japan as well as local entertainment, thereby blending both cultures together. All visitors are also treated to a variety of Japanese cuisine and amusing games for the children. Talent and chefs are sourced from Japan to make the festival as authentic as can be.

Being hosted at Governor Joseph Flores Beach Park on November 19, 2016, this celebration has become the main venue where local residents and the Japanese community come together as one, to bond and enjoy each other’s presence. When in Guam for the fest, book your stay at the beautiful Days Inn and enjoy the festival while the team at the hotel pampers you.
