Next PATA Summit in Guam

In what can be best described as an acknowledgement of Guam’s growing popularity as one of Asia Pacifis’s hottest tourist destinations, PATA, the Pacific Asia Travel Association chose Tumon as the venue for its next annual summit.

About PATA:

PATA is a non-profit membership association, internatonally renowned for boosting responsible development of travel and tourism to, from and within the Asia Pacific region.

PATA Summit:

The Annual PATA summit is a three or four day affair including several executive and general meetings, PATA Youth Symposium, and the PATA Foundations Charity and Gala Dinner. Usually, a one day conference is held prior to the chapter meetings to discuss relevant issues impacting travel and tourism in the Asia Pacific region.

The Summit in Tumon, to be held from May 18 – 21 2016, is to be hosted by the Guam Visitors Bureau and will be the 65^th edition of the event since its inception in 1951. The event will also be a prelude to the exciting FestPac or Festival of Pacific Arts to be held here from May 22- June 4, 2016, in Guam, which will bring together artists and cultural practitioners from the region.
