Toys for Tots, Days Inn chips in with effort to make children’s’ lives better

Charity begins at home, say the wise. With X’mas around the corner and festive spirit in the air, Guam leads the way with charities aimed at making lives better. Gifts and toys for kids whose families are financially challenged or whose parents are physically challenged form the crux of this drive. The drive is spearheaded by the Marine Corps.

Donations of new unwrapped toys are accepted as part of the drive and this campaign collects toy donations for children up to age 17. Donations will be accepted from Oct. 16 through to Dec. 14. It is a sincere request to refrain from donating used items as well as weapon-related toys. If you are in need of a toy donation, contact the Guam Chamber of Commerce at 472-6311/8011.

Days Inn, a premiere hotel in Guam, is a place where you can donate new toys. A bin shall be kept at Days Inn to collect toys, which shall be delivered to the needy.
